2015년 이후부터 낮은 오일가격으로 인하여 오일 & 가스 관련산업은 불황을 겪고 있으며, 특히 캐나다의 경우 알버타의 오일산업이 장기적인 침체현상을 지속하고 있는 불안한 경제를 보여주고 있습니다. 이러한 침체의 분위기 속에서 KESC의 단결력과 서로 정보를 주고받는 네트웍의 힘이 이 어려운 경기침체를 현명하게 대처해 나가는 길이라 믿습니다.
캐나다 한인 기술인 협회(KESC)에서는 각 분야별로 현업에서 활동중인 전문가들을 모시고 학생 및 기취업자는 물론이고 취업희망자를 대상으로 취업 및 진로 설명회를 개최하고자 합니다. 본 설명회는 기취업자에게는 경력관리에 필요한 다양한 정보를 제공함과 동시에 현재 재학중인 학생과 취업희망자들에게는 보다 많은 관련 엔지니어링 직종에 대한 정보뿐만 아니라 자신의 진로를 위하여 무엇을 준비해야 하는지를 알 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되리라 믿습니다.
본 협회(KESC)에서는 이 설명회를 통하여 특히 엔지니이링을 공부하는 후배들에게 “성공을 위한 한걸음”을 내디딜 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 하니 많이 참석하여 밝은 미래를 설계하는 귀중한 자리가 되기를 바랍니다.

2016 Professional Development (KESC)
The oil and gas industries around the world are going through difficult times due to the ongoing low oil prices since the late 2015, and Alberta is no exception in suffering many hardships caused by this oil price crash. While the depressed atmosphere is easily found in every sector of industries affected by it, KESC believes that building stronger relationship between members and holding tighter professional network would be the key to overcome the current economic downturn.
KESC is going to host a forum to provide an educational and social convention for those employed in, and associated with, oil & gas industry. We hope this forum would be beneficial for the current engineers and specialists in building better career prospects, and, at the same time, be a valuable chance for job-seekers to take an advantage of current industrial information from various engineering and professional disciplines. KESC promotes this event to be a step forward to “successful career planning” for students as well.
