어릴적

바다를 건너는 갈매기를 꿈꾸었다

As a child,

I dreamed of a seagull crossing the sea.



수평선 너머

날아가고 싶던 곳

아메리칸 드림

Beyond the horizon, a place

I longed to reach--

the American Dream.



꿈을 품던 시절

희망은 젊음의 이름

In those days of dreaminmg,

hope was the name of yoluth.



사랑이 머무는 곳에서

믿음은 말 없이 자라

정직이 된다

Where love stays,

faith grows silently

into honesty.



너와 나,

짧은 소풍 같은 시간

You and I

a brief picnic of time.



드림,

멀고 넓은 곳을 향하되

가장 가까운 당신과 함께

이 땅에서

나만의 드림을 이룬다.

Dream,
I aim for far and wide,
but with you, my closest compaion,
on this land,
I will achieve my dream.

작가 노트



멀고도 가까운 꿈 이야기



꿈은 늘 멀리 있다고 믿었다.

바다를 건너야 닿을 수 있고,

시간과 국경을 넘어야만

비로소 이름을 얻는 것이라고

생각했다.



그러나 살아오며 알게 되었다.

꿈은 멀어지기도 하지만

어느 순간,

가장 가까운 얼굴로 돌아온다는 것을,



속도를 줄이고

곁을 바라볼 때,

꿈은 목표가 아니라

관계가 되었고

도착지 아니라

함께 걷는 방향이 되었다.



이 시는

멀리 떠나고 싶었던 꿈에서

곁에 머무는 꿈으로 옮겨온

나의 기록이다.



가장 가까운 당신과 함께

이 땅 위에서 써 내려가는

멀고도 가까운

나의 드림 이야기다.

Author's Note

A Story of a Dream, Distant Yet Close

I always believed dreams were far away.
I thought they could only be reached by crossing the sea,
and only by crossing time and borders
would they truly gain a name.

But as I continued to pursue them, I learned:
Dreams can become distant,
but at some point,
they return to the face closest to them.

When I slow down and
look to the side,
dreams are not goals,
but relationships,
and not destinations,
but the direction we walk together.

This poem is a record of my journey,
from a dream I longed to travel far away,
to a dream that stays by my side.
