Looking to get ahead in math or chemistry for school?

I am a second year student that is attending McMasters University for the Health Science program and am here to help.

I attended Western Canada High School and took IB classes for Math, Chemistry and Biology and completed them with near perfect grades. I was never the smartest kid in the room before entering high school so I understand what it is like to put in countless hours of hard work without getting the desired grades. I understand the frustration that students go through when trying to cram all this new knowledge into their heads just to forget what they learnt after a test.

This is why I put heavy emphasis on understanding the concept and being able to connect past knowledge to build upon new ones. I will help the student to not only understand the content, but help the student build a strong foundation in their learning and help them see the connections between different concepts that are taught in school.

I've tutored several student in the past whether they are learning regular, AP or IB content with one of my 2024 high school graduate students that I tutored getting accepted to McMasters Engineering with Free Choice.

I tutor the following courses: Grade 9 - Mathematics 9 Grade 10 - Mathematics 10-1 & Chemistry 10-1 Grade 11 - Mathematics 20-1 & Chemistry 20-1 Grade 12 - Mathematics 30-1 & Chemistry 30-1

AP Curriculum - Math 10/20/30 AP IB Curriculum - Math 10/20/30 IB & Chemistry 10/20/30 IB

My sessions would be 1 hour and 30 minutes long with the following structure: First 5 - 10 minutes to discuss what the student is learning in the next week as well as concerns they have 5 - 10 minutes to complete a simple exercise worksheet that will help students familiarize themselves with common formulas etc 50 minutes to an hour teaching content Rest of the class would be spent to review topics that students had struggle understanding or going through common test questions.
