Ryuko Beltline, a stylish Japanese Kitchen & Bar located in the heart of Calgary’s vibrant Beltline district, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team.

Ryuko is continuing to grow with the support of our loyal guests, and we are looking for someone who can bring positive energy, strong leadership, and genuine hospitality to our fast-paced restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities

- Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and guest service

- Maintain smooth communication and coordination between the Front of House and Back of House teams

- Assist with inventory control, ordering, and cost management

- Respond professionally to guest feedback and resolve service-related concerns

- Help supervise and manage restaurant operations when the General Manager is unavailable

- Foster a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented workplace culture

- Uphold Ryuko’s standards for service, cleanliness, food safety, and hospitality

Qualifications

- Strong English communication skills for providing excellent guest service and team leadership

- Korean language skills are considered an asset

- Previous management or supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment

- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Professional, dependable, and positive attitude

- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment

- Legally authorized to work in Canada
