Position: Freight Forwarding Operations/Document Controller
Location: R&L Canada head office in Downtown Calgary AB
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or as agreed. Certain non-compensated overtime may be expected in a position of this character
Report to: Branch Manager
Qualifications: 1 to 3 years Freight Forwarding experience (ocean, air, import, export)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Initiative, integrity, loyalty, strong work ethic and being a team player
Ability to prioritize activities in a pressure-filled environment
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe
CIFFA certification & knowledge of second language is a plus
Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, operations of the Company’s freight forwarding business within our contractual agreements with our clients or as otherwise designated by the management. A detailed job description will be provided to candidate during the interview process to serve as a further guide to his/her duties.
Objective: Position is meant as a long term employment and as such the Company and you shall endeavor to integrate you completely with the Company’s staff and management to develop strategies and planning for the Company’s overall success and growth. You shall endeavor to promote the Company’s services and products and continue to improve on your skills and experience in the business. Compensation: $45,000~$60,000 based on level of experience
Health Benefits: Starting with date of completion of 3 month probation period, employee will be covered by the company’s medical plan, disability and life insurance coverage, including access to the spending account for reimbursement of eligible expenses including dental, etc. Employer may add employee earlier to the plan at their sole discretion.
Vacation: Company offers ten (10) work days’ vacation time and one additional day per year following completion of each year of employment up to a maximum of 15 working days’ vacation time after five years. Vacation to be scheduled in accordance with work volumes and approval of the management
