올 5월인가 새법이 실행되어 랜딩한 날로 6년동안 4년에 해당되는 날을 채워야 합니다. ohh님은 자격을 갖추려면 앞으로 1년 반 정도를 더 기다리셔야 될 것 같습니다. 새법은 영주권받기 전에 캐나다에서 거주한 것을 인정하지 않습니다.

Time you have lived in Canada
You must have been physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for at least 1,460 days during the six years immediately before the date of your application. You must also be physically present for at least 183 days during each of four calendar years that are fully or partially within the six years immediately before the date of application. These requirements do not apply to children under 18.

또한 4년간 세금보고한 기록을 갖고 있어야 하며, 만 64세까지 영어능력도 요구합니다(64세도 왜 봐야 하는지 도무지 이해가 안되지만).

영어는 영어권 중고등/대학교를 졸업했거나 정부가 인정하는 일정 영어프로그램을 이수했거나 또는 아이엘츠같은 시험을 치면 됩니다. To get Canadian citizenship, you must reach CLB/NCLC Level 4 or higher.


What documents can I use to prove that I meet the citizenship language requirement?

You can send us one of a number of different documents to show that you meet the language requirement. For example:

the results of a CIC-approved third-party test, or
evidence of completion of secondary or post-secondary education in English or French, in Canada or abroad, or
evidence from certain government-funded language training programs.
