A valid Canadian passport in good condition is required for Canadians intending to visit Thailand. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into the country. An onward or return ticket is also required.
Holders of regular Canadian passports arriving by air for the purposes of tourism may enter Thailand for up to 30 days without requesting a visa in advance.
Canadians who wish to stay longer, work, or study, should obtain the proper visa from a Thai embassy or consulate. It is illegal to work on a tourist visa or without a work permit.
