Unless there were (1) medical expense (more than 3 % of your income in 2017), (2) tuition paid (or textbook etc), (3) RRSP/TFSA contribution, (4) sort of contribution towards the children's education account (I forgot the name of the account. it is like RRSP but you keep saving money for your child's college tuition in the future), or (5) finding out if you have 'Carryover amount' in CRA account, it is very unlikely you will have less amount owed. Because in the government's perspective, they are taking taxes that you were supposed to pay when you had that part time job. So, if you cannot recall any of the activities that I listed, it is better not waste money on hiring accountant.
