You should take the ticket and go to provincial court (Rocky MT Plaza) on the corner of 7th Ave & Maclead Tr.
between 8:00 am-9:00am. (earlier the better because of
long line up).
Before you take the ticket for fine reduction, you
have to wait about 10-14 business days after when
you received the ticket.
Go to PEACE OFFICER's counter. Show your ticket and
just say "I'm here to see a prosecutor for this ticket"
than the peace officer will pull out your ticket file record
and tell you to wait untill one of the prosecutor calls
your name. This takes 1 hr to 2 hrs and it all depends
how long the line up is.
And once when you see the prosecutor you don't need
to say anything, the prosecutor will just look at your
record and reduce the fine. I'm not too sure by how much
but I'm guessing around 40% less than the actual amount.
The waiting is pain in the neck but it's well worth it.
Oh! even ticket is not under your name anyone can go to
the court on behalf and see the prosecutor for reducing
the fine.
good luck!
